Daisy Dukes Jeep CJ-7 "Dixie" From the TV Show "The Dukes of Hazzard"
Daisy Duke's Jeep "Dixie" COMPLETED!!!!!!
And there ya have it....... a SAVED build from, start to finish..... (I have to say, its feels GREAT to have completed yet one more model, thats been in the works for over a year now, with a few issues and bumps along the way, but as said several times throughout the build this model was a glue bomb when I got it, and it was old...... SO I restored what was needed, replaced what was missing, and made it as close as I could to the real Dixie (Even tho it really isn't even close to the real one) I'm happy with it............ Enjoy!
Going to resurrect Daisy Dukes Jeep! COMPLETED 6-4-2016!!!

although I'm not a fan of this car, I love the details you brought it! Particularly the engine in the bucket, it's a beautiful part. Can you tell us what is coming this engine?

Thanks Fred,
Are you familiar withthe TV show "The Dukes of Hazzard" from the 1980's?
In the TV Show "The Dukes of Hazzard" Was for a cast member to drive, her name? Daisy Duke, AKA Catherine Bach. She named the Jeep "Dixie"......
ANYWAY the engine in the back, is a Mopar 426 Hemi, that Is the same engine Daisy Duke's Cousins, Bo & Luke Duke had in a '69 Dodge Charger R/T that they named "General Lee". These 2 guys in a lotof trouble a lot of the time in the show, was always getting themselves into things for the good, but in the process of doing that was kinda of bad too....
SO they would push the "General Lee" at times in the show to save their hide to keep themselves out of trouble and a lot of times in the show running from the local police! SO, story goes for the engine in the back, its a replacement thats headed to the guy that helps Bo & Luke keep the General Lee running.... And they went and looked at it, and at the time that it was bought, they needed to haul it home, and Daisy happened to be the only one on the "CB radio" to take the call to go pick it up, as you see it, is is how they bought it!
NOW, for the modeling aspect, its one of my castings! I can go post pictures of how it and this whole build went together....
I detailed the engine, as if it were the real thing! (I actually have worked on 2 of these engines in real life) but used what I knew, and pictures of research I did online to make the model look as realistic as I possibly could get it!
